We ordered an ECONOMY taxi through the app from a hotel in Dubai, from the Emirates Mall to Sharjah Airport. It was Sunday afternoon, and the roads were clear. The app showed a fare of 100 dirhams. A white Lexus arrived. We clearly stated multiple times that we were going to Sharjah Airport. We loaded our own luggage into the trunk and set off. The driver spent a long time on the phone discussing personal matters like iPhones and kids. Later, he told us we had entered the wrong destination and should have chosen Dubai Airport. He was on the phone with dispatch, trying to explain that we needed to change the location, but we didn't understand how. Should we cancel the ride, pay, and reorder? But we were certain we selected Sharjah Airport! When we arrived, he demanded 192 dirhams instead of the 100 shown in the app. When we explained, he called the police. He claimed we were in a limo, not a taxi, and therefore had to pay the premium rate. The car had no meter. We argued for half an hour before giving up and paying the extra hundred. Total scam! Don’t get into a Lexus if you want an economy ride.
Doesn't activate on Russian phone numbers, even though Russia is listed during download and activation attempts.
They tried to withdraw $80 from my card after the bike subscription ended. I had to block my card. Avoid them.
Everything was fine, reasonable prices.
Very inconsistent taxi service. It’s cheap, but Uber is more reliable.
The money gets charged right away, and it’s unclear how refunds work. It's much easier to hail a taxi on the street and pay with a card. That way, you don’t overpay.
Cheap and efficient.
I used their taxi service, and the driver asked where I was going in broken English, even though the destination was already in the app. He then tried to negotiate the fare with me, saying “we’ll discuss it” without giving a number. Plus, he wasn’t wearing a mask. After he left, I canceled the ride, and they charged me a significant amount, which wasn’t my fault. Horrible experience.
They process orders in a strange way, and there’s no customer support.
I liked everything except that you can't disable the Careem Plus subscription with a Russian geolocation, so I had to set my GPS location to Dubai.
The app is convenient, prices are fair, and no cash is needed.
Great service, always punctual. The app works smoothly, and the drivers are polite.
The app is buggy, and it sometimes cancels rides without reason. Customer support takes too long to respond.
Decent service overall, but I've had a few issues with the fare being higher than expected. Needs more transparency.
